In accordance with applicable legislation regarding personal data protection, this privacy policy outlines Univerweb’s practices concerning information from visitors navigating the univerweb.dz website.

In accordance with Law No. 18-07 of June 10, 2018, relating to the protection of natural persons in the processing of personal data, as amended and supplemented by Law No. 25-11 of July 24, 2025, Univerweb, headquartered at 62 Coop. El Mebnia, Birkhadem, Algiers, Algeria (contact@univerweb.dz), is committed as the data controller to ensuring the protection, confidentiality, and security of your data.

Data Collected: The Bare Minimum

The univerweb.dz website is a showcase site. No forms collecting personal data are present on this site.

The only data processed consists of:

  • Technical server logs: IP address, timestamp, and browser type, temporarily recorded strictly for security and maintenance purposes (retained for a maximum of 6 months).
  • Display preference: your theme choice (light or dark) is saved in your browser’s local storage, without any tracking.
  • Direct communications: information you voluntarily provide when contacting us by email or phone.

Hosting, Backups, and Third-Party Providers

To operate, the website relies on the following providers, located or operating outside Algeria:

  • Contabo GmbH (Germany): hosting of the website, email, and technical server logs (including your IP address).
  • Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3): storage of daily backups of our servers (website, databases, and email), encrypted at rest and kept for about a week. Technical logs are excluded.
  • Cloudinary: image optimization and delivery. Your browser loads them directly from its servers (privacy policy).
  • Google Maps: map on the Contact page, loaded automatically when the page opens. Google then receives your IP address and may set its own cookies (privacy policy).

We make sure to entrust these providers only with what is necessary for the operation and security of the website.

Cookies and Trackers

The univerweb.dz website uses no advertising, targeting, or audience analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics or equivalent).

The third-party services listed above, in particular Google Maps, may set their own technical cookies, governed by their own privacy policies. You can block them in your browser settings.

User Rights

In accordance with the Algerian legal framework (Law No. 18-07 and Law No. 25-11), every individual has the right to access, rectify, and object to the processing of their data, and may lodge a complaint with the National Authority for the Protection of Personal Data (ANPDP).
